Altar Servers
Boys and girls assist the priests at weekend and weekday Masses. This is a wonderful way to learn about the Catholic Church and enhance their faith.
TRAINING FOR NEW AND RETURNING ALTAR SERVERS
If you are in 6thgrade or older, interested in Altar serving, or have already been serving, please plan to attend one of the 2010 Altar Server training sessions. Training sessions will be held for new servers in the Church following the 9:00 Mass on:
Sunday, August 22 –10:10 to 10:50
Sunday, August 29 – 10:10 to 10:50
Prospective servers must attend one of these training sessions to be eligible to serve at SVDP. Interested servers should gather in the front pews right after Mass.
A training session for new and returning servers will be held in the Church on:
Wednesday, September 1 at 7:00 pm and
Thursday, September 2 at 7:00 pm
All training will last approximately 45 minutes.
Parents are to accompany their child to the session on September 2 to complete registration paperwork and review SVDP Altar Server guidelines.
